Sources: Yankees To Open VIP DraftKings Sportsbook Lounge This Week

The Yankees will have an exclusive VIP DraftKings Sportsbook lounge for the upcoming MLB season, sources told playin-ny. 

The DraftKings lounge at Yankee Stadium can only be accessed by ticketholders in the legends area. It should be available to customers on MLB Opening Day against the Red Sox on Friday. 

This isn’t a retail sportsbook though local policymakers are seeking to add kiosks at stadiums, arenas and racetracks in NY.

The team currently has multi-year sportsbook partnerships with DraftKings, FanDuel and Bet365 (New Jersey), and sources said it is actively pursuing other sportsbook partners. 

Yankees’ president Randy Levine had told playin-ny that the franchise was all-in on New York sports betting following The Empire State’s successful online launch in January. Levine said:

“New York has proven to be everything that we all thought it would be.”

Not just DraftKings: Other Yankees sportsbook partnerships

On YES Network, you won’t find anything content-related as it pertains to sports betting. However, sportsbook partners FanDuel, DraftKings and Bet365 NJ will have a presence in the network’s Yankees’ coverage. 

Also, fans will be able to participate in the Yankees’ version of the YES app’s Pick-N-Play free single-screen live prediction game that was just introduced for the network’s Nets’ telecasts. A spokesperson said that Pick-N-Play could be up for Thursday’s Opening Day if not shortly thereafter. 

In partnership with Simplebet, Pick-N-Play appears to be a free-to-play spring training of sorts. Eventually, customers could have a single-screen live sports betting experience.
