How to bet on 2022 Buffalo Bills win totals

It is no surprise that the NFL is the most popular, most-watched and most-bet-on sports in North America. For that reason, NY sports betting apps offer so many markets to wager.

Among the more popular: futures betting. That could mean championship futures, such as which team will win the Super Bowl. Playoff futures, like if the Bills will make the postseason. And win totals: Will the Bills win more or less games than the line set?

How can you bet on win totals? And what do all the numbers mean?

As noted, many online sportsbooks in New York will have win totals under the “futures betting” category. There, you will see all 32 teams with numbers next to them. That number indicates how many wins that online sportsbook projects the team to record. These are called “over/under” totals.

If you feel so inclined, your job is to bet on a team to win more (over) or less (under) than the set number.

So, for example, let’s say the Bills NFL win total is set at 11.5. Do you think Buffalo will win 12 or more game during the regular season? Bet the over. Don’t think the Bills can win more than 11 games? Take the under. It’s that simple.

History of Buffalo Bills win totals

Buffalo has far exceeded expectations over the past few years. On the field, for sure. But also when it comes to Bills NFL win totals betting.

In four of the past five seasons, Buffalo’s win totals hit the over on preseason over/under projections. The outlier: last season, as the Bills posted 11 wins to fall just shy of the 11.5 total.

Once again, for the most part, NY sports betting providers have set the Bills over/under win total at 11.5, which matches the highest for the franchise since the early 1990s — during Buffalo’s Super Bowl runs. Last season, eight NFL teams held preseason over/unders of at least 10.5 wins. Three hit the over: Kansas City (12.5), Tampa Bay (12) and Green Bay (10.5).
