Powerball Winning Numbers For June 18 — New York Lottery Hands Out Take 5 Prizes
One Powerball jackpot winner in New York will establish some history for the Empire State.
Heading into the drawing on Saturday, June 118, the jackpot stands at $279 million with a lump-sum cash value of $159.4 million. Should a lottery player in New York hit the grand prize, that $279 million will stand as the second-largest in state history, surpassing the more-than $245 million won in August 2018. The biggest jackpot, set two months later, cashed in at $687.8 million.
The drawing for Saturday will take place at 10:59 p.m. ET.
Obviously the jackpot will increase should a winner not emerge from Saturday’sdrawing. And even if you aren’t fortunate enough to claim the top prize, there is still much to be had from Powerball. Not only that, but the New York Lottery also has plenty of other games, including one in which over $246,437 in prizes was awarded last week alone.

New York Lottery hands out Take 5 prizes
When a Powerball jackpot winner emerges, it will certainly grab plenty of attention. But other New York Lottery players have cashed in within the past week, specifically with the Take 5 draw game.
From June 7 through June 12, the NY Lottery announced 13 winners from the Take 5 game, which asks players to choose five numbers from 1 to 39 in hopes of matching all five numbers for the jackpot in one of the two daily drawings. Those winners combined for $246,437 in prizes. Or an average of almost $19,000.

Ticketholders for prizes $600 and below can claim their winnings at any licensed New York Lottery retail location. They can also either mail the ticket into the NY Lottery or schedule an appointment at a Lottery Customer Service Center.
As for prizes exceeding $600, like the above Take 5 winners, winners can schedule an appointment at a Customer Service Center, or they can redeem the ticket at a Prize Claim Center. Ticketholders will need to provide a few pieces of information:
- Winning ticket
- Filled-out claim form
- Valid government-issued ID
- Valid Social Security Number or FEIN
