New York Yankees 2023 Game Guide playin-ny Schedule Promotions

With MLB Opening Day getting closer, the New York Yankees have one goal: World Series or bust.

The Yankees promise to be a contending team, and we’ve got all the information you’ll need before attending a game at Yankee Stadium. That includes the promotional giveaway schedule, the best NY sports betting options for betting the games and more.

The Bronx Bombers made the playoffs for a sixth consecutive season in 2022. But things went south in the ALCS when the team got swept by the Houston Astros.

The Yanks are running it back with a similar squad from last season. The biggest offseason move coming out of the Bronx was signing Aaron Judge to a monster nine-year, $360 million deal. Another notable transaction was acquiring Carlos Rodon via free agency.

You can watch the Yankees battle it out all summer long at the Bronx Zoo. But for now, we want to get you as prepared as possible for the upcoming season.

Best ways to buy Yankees tickets

A trustworthy avenue to buy game tickets is through the Yankees team website. There, you can browse through single-game tickets, group tickets, private suites and more.

Plus, the Yankees discount ticket prices for select groups at various points through the season. This includes cheaper tickets for college students and first responders, to name a few.

If you can’t find the tickets you want for a specific game, you can also check out the third-party retailer market. Sites like StubHub, TicketMaster and SeatGeek are a few options, but watch out for huge fees at checkout.

Tips for commuting to Yankee Stadium

If you plan on driving to Yankee Stadium, we wish you the best of luck. Traffic is usually heavy in the Bronx, and that’s only amplified on game days.

If you do plan on driving, there are a few parking options. Most lots and garages are located southwest of the stadium, though there are a few on the northeast side as well. One thing to note is there are no official parking areas partnered with Yankee Stadium.

Some options that will likely be more enjoyable for getting to the game include using a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. They may come with heavy fees depending on when you call for a ride, so beware of that.

The most affordable and reliable option is taking public transportation. There is a subway stop at the 161st/Yankee Stadium station, which is walking distance to the field. Metro-North also provides train services to the stadium.

There are several bus lines that will take you to the game, including the Bx6 and Bx13 buses, as well as the Bx1 and Bx2 buses. Both will drop you off within walking distance to Yankee Stadium.

Best food options for Yankees games

Even if you don’t like baseball, you’re sure to find some good eats at Yankees games. There is a wide variety of dining options in the stadium, so there’s something for everyone.

That includes the ballpark classics, like Bobby’s Burgers, which serves the basics as well as nacho burgers and veggie burgers. Then there’s sumo dogs, which is a famous pop-up founded by chef Jeffrey Lunak who appeared on Iron Chef. Their menu is designed to redefine the classic American hot dog.

New at Yankee Stadium is Fuku, featuring fried chicken offerings, sides and slushies from chef David Chang. There, you will find the OG Spicy Chicken Sando, built with a crispy habanero-brined chicken breast, Fuku mayo and pickle on a potato role. Also look out for the Tenders + Waffle Fries, complete with crispy chicken tenders, sweet jalapeno waffle fries and a side of honey mustard or ranch.

Over in Section 223, you will find Mac Truck, headed by Dom Tesoriero, which specializes in premium mac and cheese with a variety of topping. Like crispy chicken and buffalo sauce of the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese or charred corn pico de gallo and crushed tortilla chips on the Mexican Street Mac.

Customers can find Cheesy Garlic Bread at Christian Petroni, run by the eponymous Bronx native chef.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, check out the Yankee Stadium grand slam shakes. They’re served in a souvenir cup that you can bring home to remember the experience. There are many other dessert options scattered through the ballpark, too.
