del Lago’s main online gambling partner is DraftKings, one of the leading sports betting operators on US soil. Peninsula Pacific Entertainment joined forces with DraftKings to open a big sportsbook in August 2019. In January 2022, NY online sports betting was then legalized, and del Lago visitors can now place wagers on sports using the DraftKings’ mobile app.

Once online casino laws follow suit, expect to see the launch of several new online casinos in New York, in addition to major brands seeking to capitalize on the potentially huge market. Players will then be able to enjoy a full selection of table games and online slot machines in NY. To get to the Premier level, you need to collect 2,000+ points. Online and mobile sportsbook

Right now, del Lago offers the Build Your Bet feature to select your wagers in advance before walking up to a betting window. It works just like an online sportsbook, except you need to have your selections approved in the land-based sportsbook.

However, that’s all about to change. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo supported the legislation that backs mobile sports wagering in the state. This still has to be approved, but things are looking better for NY sports gamblers. If this type of gambling gets approved, NY will become the largest market for the activity.

Poker room at del Lago Resort & Casino

del Lago currently features 14 poker tables where you can find several types of classic poker games, including Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, and 7-Card Stud.

Portico by Fabio Vivani

Portico is a fine-dining restaurant featuring food by the legendary chef Fabio Vivani. Having grown up in Florence, Italy, Vivani began his training to become a chef in his early teenage years. After mastering his art, Vivani’s name traveled around the globe, and his popularity skyrocketed after appearing in a reality show on Bravo called Top Chef: All-Stars in 2010. After that, Vivani has been a recurring guest in many TV shows, such as Good Day LA, Access Hollywood, Good Morning America, The Talk, Ellen, and The Chew.

Portico features Italian cooking mixed with steakhouse-style food, creating unique dining options, all patented by Fabio Vivani. The elegant ambiance is mixed with a warm and cozy atmosphere, offering a unique experience to visitors.

DraftKings at the Vine

We already covered the sports-betting aspect, so we’ll focus on the food and drinks in this part. To enter the sportsbooks, you need to pass through The Vine Showroom.

Food and drinks are available daily from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. Reservations are available until 9 p.m., with the last call being 9:30 p.m.

Sociale Café & Bar

Sociale focuses on offering healthy and traditional food options, including appetizers, soups, salads, protein-based food, sandwiches, and entrees. Available beverages are domestic beer, import/craft beer, white wine, red wine, and more.

The cafe & bar has a detailed working schedule.

The Sociale Express hours are every day from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., except for Friday and Saturday when it is open one hour longer. The bar closing hours are the same, but it starts one hour later — at 9 a.m.This also applies to dining hours.

Savor NY Bar

Savor NY Bar is a modern casual place featuring beer, hot dogs, and more. It’s open Friday — Saturday from 4:30 p.m. — 9:30 p.m.

Centrifico

Centrifico is the name of the bar located at the center of the casino, putting you right in the middle of the action. It offers a beautiful 360-degree view of the casino floor and is perfect for taking a break from gaming activities. Centrifico features all kinds of red and white wines, blush, spirits, and bottled beer.

Casual dining options

If you’re into casual dining, there are three great options at del Lago’s: Ciccino’s, SmashBurger, and Laughing Buddha.

• • • Ciccino’s — A New York-style pizza place, offering calzones, paninis, strombolis, salads, and more. Open daily 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
    • SmashBurger — There’s no need to introduce SmashBurger. If you’re interested in eating in the popular restaurant, be there between 11 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on any day.
    • Laughing Buddha — Asian cuisine, offering noodle soups, stir fry food, fried rice, and various appetizers and beverages. The restaurant is open Friday – Monday 12 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. 

Entertainment

The Vine Showroom is one of the most important amenities at Del Lago’s. It was voted the 2019 Showroom of the Year, as it features a 1,500-seat acoustically-superior arena. The Vine hosted all kinds of acts, including comedians, music shows, and more.

Del Lago includes two popular shopping options:

del Lago Resort and Casino history

The idea about del Lago was discussed after Cuomo announced licensing upstate New York casinos to compete with tribal casinos in 2011. Although he failed to execute his plans that year, he finally managed to get things going in 2013, planning to award a license for three upstate casinos, seeking the three best possible sites for them. del Lago opened officially on Feb. 1, 2017, and has been operating successfully ever since.
